COSI COM'È - WIE ES IST - mit Filmgespräch
Così com'è by Antonello Scarpelli is an intimate, unrhetorical family portrait, which alternates extreme close-ups with open landscapes. The story of Emilia (Pisano), a municipal employee whose life is upended when her husband (Francesco Scarpelli) is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, is a profound and painful reflection on how families repress the past. A story where physical places represent the distances of the soul.
HAMNET
William Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes, celebrate the birth of their son, Hamnet. However, when tragedy strikes and Hamnet dies at a young age, it inspires Shakespeare to write his timeless masterpiece "Hamlet."

THE ART AND LIFE OF MARGO OVCHARENKO + Regiegespräch
Margo Ovcharenko became a rock star of portrait photography at the age of 20. A Ukrainian by birth and ethnicity, she has spent much of her life in Russia. The documentary begins at the peak of her career in 2012, having already been featured in prestigious exhibitions worldwide with works celebrating feminine sexuality and empowerment. Over the span of 12 years since, the film chronicles the evolving relationship between Ukraine and Russia and its impact on the art world and Margo’s personal journey. The narrative takes a dramatic turn in 2021 when Margo permanently relocates to Kyiv, seeking to reconnect with her Ukrainian roots. Her plans are upended by the Russian invasion in February 2022, turning her into a refugee.
THE CHRONOLOGY OF WATER
Based on the beloved memoir by Lidia Yuknavitch and marking the directorial debut of Kristen Stewart, The Chronology of Water is a raw and unflinching portrait of survival, sexuality, and self-invention. The film traces Lidia’s life from her earliest memories in the Pacific Northwest, as a promising swimmer, through fractured relationships, near-motherhood, addiction, and encounters with artistic heroes. Told as a fluid memory wash, the story transforms trauma into art, embodying Yuknavitch’s defiant voice that made her work a modern cult classic. It is not only a chronicle of a woman becoming a writer, but a visceral journey through the wreckage and resilience of a life lived against the grain.
